Guide To Garden Colour
| Colour
makes magic in the garden. Nature provides endless possibilities to create moods and
illusions by mixing different shades, tones and hues. The 12 segments wheel is made up of three primary hues (red, blue and yellow), three secondary hues (orange, green and violet) and six tertiary hues ( red-orange, yellow-orange, yellow-green, blue-green, blue-violet and red-violet). Study the spectrum of the colour wheel and learn to recognise colour harmonies. |

By adding white to any hue creates a tint. White lightens and brightens warm shades such a yellow, orange and red and intensifies cool blues and purple. Grey or silver added to any hue creates a tone. This
subdues the dark red or purple shades, but will accentuate a bright, clear hue such as
light blue or yellow. CONTRAST DISCORD ________________________ FUN WITH FLOWERS The yellow, blue and white flower bed.
